Octavia VRS 2014. (specs)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just looking for knowledge and exp from you guys. I have decided to buy an Octavia VRS 2014 plate. I have put a deposit on one that has done only 4000 miles. the asking price is around the 16k mark which is a hell of a lot cheaper than any of the others its range on the market. It seems to be standard spec and not imported from Ireland etc. I am being just slightly cautious due to the fact its 3k cheaper than anything else around with the same mileage. Its HPI clear. Anyone know of any lower spec vrs that get banded around cheaper? Its 217ps Petrol version.

Hmm. It does seem cheap. I paid 19k for my 14 plate about 6 months ago. It does have a lot of options such as full leather and full length sun roof etc. Maybe it is just minimum spec. Is it from a dealer?

Thats extremely cheap I bought my 2014 20000miles for 14.000

I paid 19900 for a 64plate 4k miles ex skoda UK car, with no options from Skoda about 6 months ago. That does appear to be cheap, but if it's from a dealer, you shouldnt have any problems?

Is it from a Skoda dealer?

Sometimes if cars are a lot cheaper they can be accident damaged or different spec, import from Cyprus etc.

Make sure you run an HPi check.

I read on another forum that one dealer group are "accidentally" advertising cars at EX VAT prices. Someone paid £200 deposit to have a car transported to their local dealer and was told that head office made a mistake and advertised without VAT.

That's very cheap too. Going rate for 64 plate petrol vRS is at least £18k from Skoda dealers, and not much less from others. I've been looking too.

If the one vrsgriff is looking at is straight, he should get the cheque book out.

Paid £18,995 for a 2014 (63) plate standard around 9 months ago with 9k on!

Thanks for your replys. HPI check clear and its not an import. Its not even low spec its got heated seats, park assist, lane departure warning, uprated sound system start stop etc etc. Its actually pretty high spec. 4172 miles on the clock 1 owner with full skoda service history (yes they did service it even with the low mileage). £16100 on the road. Its a big used car trader. i was suspicious at first but i checked the spec via the chassis number at Skoda. Just a lucky find i guess and its feb so the new plate comes out next month.

As a soon to be VRS M3 Skoda owner any advice about the vehicle would be great to know. I.e does it burn oil like the civic type R?

I got my 2.0 TDI vRS (july 2014) Columbus sat nav, Kessy, Cervena Rio metallic for £14,000 with 22,300 on the clock from a Ford dealer in Wales on Friday, love it.
