My16 - Rapid SB - Just noticed with side lights

My16 - Rapid SB - Just noticed with side lights............

That if you leave the side lights on and lock the car the rear reg plate lights go off...

Then when you unlock the car these light up again....

Simply Clever to save the battery ? (not that it will make much diff)

(Car does not have auto lights)

"Simply Clever" has caused a lot of ironic laughs on here...especially from those driving "Friday Cars" eh Stormchaser?

Doesn't the car bleep frantically at you if you try and leave it with the lights on??

It bleeped when opened the door as would any car.

...to warn you to turn the lights off???? Now that's a Simply Clever feature.

You can enable near side / off side parking lights with Carista - and no bleeps.

With mine i just leave the lights on all the time and they turn off or on with the ignition. Is this normal/standard or is it an extra?

My DRLs do that - but not sidelights or tail-lamps

yes - normal if you leave it in the headlight dipped beam setting. (like this on a lot of cars now)

"Simply Clever" haha

They certainly are [emoji6]

Carista can't make any mods to my MY16 Rapid (iPad version). I guess I have to wait for the next upgrade.
I've successfully "Caristaed" (new verb!) a few mk2 Fabiae.
