  1. I didn't even realise the Karoq supported wireless AA. Just picked up a new Sportline and on the website it says wiressless iOS, wired Android. I'll try and pair the phone via Bluetooth instead.
  2. I've just got a new Sportline and was wondering if you could get a roller one. Does it fit the new car? I've got a dog crate and the parcel shelf is no good as she can't see out.
  3. I'm trading my Octavia vRS estate for a new Karoq Sportline and collect it at the weekend. I know my dog crate won't fit in the Karoq, so wanted to know what people are using? I want an actual crate in the boot rather than just a dog guard.
  4. I ordered a Sportline which is a stock car today and collect on Friday. I'm assuming it won't have all these extra features?
  5. How old is your car? I seem to remember the earlier Mk4's had issues with the ACC where it through the car was left hand drive, i imagine this would also affect the matrix lights as well. I think its been fixed with the software updated early owners were often complaining about being flashed by other road users.
  6. As others have said, in the dry the grip is pretty good from the tyres. I find the traction control works well too so if i floor it the traction does a pretty good job of quelling the wheelspin but keeping me moving. If you was worried about traction you could change the tyres to a better tyre. I've got DCC on mine and its pretty good as making the ride comfortable. It can go from really quite firm and bouncy to nice and comfy. The roads round me are terrible and i use it quite a lot in comfort mode.
  7. I learnt today that if you hold the voice control button on the steering wheel, it launches the google voice control. So much easier than trying to press the voice button on the screen.
  8. Loving seeing this come together Did you record a before video and any plans to doing an after video? For me the tyre noise is my biggest gripe, the car is so noisy when i get on the motorway. I can't wait to burn through my current OEM set and replace them with something else.
  9. This has prompted me to buy some 0w20 VW508 spec oil. I'm just over 5000 miles now and its dropped. I was waiting to see if the light comes on but it sounds like i shouldn't do that and top it up. At least with 0w20 you can top it up as much as you like vs 0w30 which it says top up once only. I always worry about over filling it.
  10. I really wouldn't want this in my car, and its not something i'm interested in using. The roads in the UK are so poor it just wouldn't work properly. Lane assist is bad enough and is always tugging at the wheel when i'm not expecting. Its interesting how many people in this thread are looking forward to this sort of tech though.
  11. I've got a 2022 vRS Estate with DCC and i do like being able to choose between the different settings. The main i keep it it normal most of the time and flip to comfort if the road is bumpy. If i'm out for a spirited drive then knock it into Sport but that's mainly for the extra noise. I've set individual to the firmest setting but rarely use it, its really quite firm in that mode. What i'm trying to say is for me the main benefit of DCC is actually the comfort mode. Keeps the family happy.
  12. The tyre scheme and alloy insurance came with the car. It was reasonably cheap, £250 for both when they wanted £250 each for 3 years. Information on the schemes was rather lacking though, i was told just turn up at Kwik Fit and they'll know your covered. Turns out that wasn't true at all, and i managed to find an email with my policy document on and you have to call the scheme first to register a claim, then send photos of the damage and wait for it to be approved. This would be a pain if I was in a rush. But they did say they will replace upto £300 and if I use another tyre fitter and pay myself I can claim the money back providing they call the insurer first to agree a replacement is needed. In the end I managed to get the S005 repaired so its all good for now. I'll replace the fronts ready for the winter with something else that is more readily available. Maybe Potenza Sports for Pilot 4s but i've not decided yet.
  13. Apparently the S001 is a cheaper tyre and its the Potenza Sport i need as that is more similar to the S005 that is on it already. I asked the tyre scheme about the mismatch of tyres if they can't replace it with the same one and they said only the damaged tyre is covered 😞 This will annoy me to be fair and i'll try my best to burn through the front pair so i can replace them both.
  14. I've got a puncture that isn't reparable. The tyres on my car are Bridgestone Potenza S005 225/40/19. The Skoda tyre scheme uses Kwikfit or National Tyres, and they can only supply a Potenza S001. Anyone know what the difference is? I seem to remember manufacturer tyres often have different numbers in the name but are essentially the same tyre. Hopefully someone in the group can shed some light on this.
  15. I've had my vRS TSI Estate since Feb and i've not had any of the software issues earlier cars had. DCC works fine, Matrix Lights work fine, Wireless Android Auto works fine. (touches wood!). MPG wise my long term average is 33.2mpg. I do mostly short journeys (sub 10 miles) and it can be high 20's at times, but i've had a few 200 mile long trips which i've seen 45mpg on. I use super unleaded which seems to help with the MPG. If i was the OP who has one on order, i wouldn't worry about any of the software issues and just sit and wait. Delivery dates often changes these days so try not to pay too much attention to it and hopefully it will be with you early 2023
