Number plate codes in March 2017? ;)

Featured Replies

On 1 March this year, the number plate patterns changed to RR 16 XYZ
Where RR represents the area, and XYZ is 3 random letters.

So a thought struck me - what happens in a year's time on 1 March 2017, given the digits '17' look like the letters 'IT'....? ;)

For instance one of the codes for Glasgow is SH... will they really issue " SH 17 ONE " ? Or indeed "SH 17 (anything)"

I also have my doubts about Cardiff... ;)

Or indeed CL17

:D :D

SH17 TWO

Perth.

SP17 ONE.

Edinburgh.

SL17 ONE

SL17 TWO

Glasgow code back in 2007.

SH07 ONE

SH07 TWO

They will no doubt change them. They had to change SN07 because people thought it said snot and they all have TN07 instead.

No probs

The boys in blue stop EVERY car ( or bike ) with numbers 'enhanced' to look cheeky and impound the car, or bike, until correct ones are fitted.

Out of the goodness of their hearts then could then offer to sell the owner correct price - £500 a pair sounds about right?

Luck of the draw i think. I know a few that have driven with incorrect spacing or a stategically placed screw in their plates for thousands of miles n never had an issue.

Having said that. Itd be my luck to get done as soon as i came off the drive :D

With the previous system Devon never issued GOD or SOD.  Wolverhampton seems to have avoided FUK over the years, too.
