I have an issue with my fabia the boot is now heavy suspected boot strut failure however at the top of the boot lid either side is two bolts that look as though they have been shunted out and can be seen through the window any idea?

That look like the fitting the parcel shelf cord loop fits onto.

Ain't they the cord holders for the parcel shelf?

Best place I've found for boot struts is SGS Engineering in Derby.
