What options for me to play MP3's??

Featured Replies

I have a Fabia vRS with Symphony head unit and have a Bury car phone kit connected to it.

I want to be able to play MP3's either change head unit or get one of those Music keg things that I assume can connect to the CD changer bit.

I would prefer to keep the OEM look but the Blaupunkt look good in a OEM way.

What I don't want is to have to get my phone car kit modified.

Any suggestions

PS No more than

Options on standard HU are a Phatnoise MP3 HD or a Sony MP3 CD Changer. Either of those should come in at under £200.

I think you want a VW one rather than Audi and you connect using an OEM CD changer cable. Do a search on here as I'm sure others have fitted them.

I changed the HU for a Pioneer DEH4700MP. It's not exactly the OEM look but it's not too "bling" either. I'm not into flashing lights & motorized facias!

It can play MP3's & WMA files that are burnt onto a CDR.

Bought it for £100 at www.caraudiodirect.co.uk about 10 months ago.

Edit: Just had a look on the above site & it's £85 now!

Just found a pic that I took:-

Or if you have an MP3 player how about just connecting it to the back of the existing H/U?
