My16 - Rapid SB - Program Windows for one touch ??

 

Is it possible ? (exclude drivers which already is)

 

On most VAG cars, you can press and hold in the down position to enable it.

 

Any thoughts ?

No, it can't be done on a Rapid. One touch down on some drivers doors is all that can be enabled.

As there is no such module for the Rapid, and no software support for such features in the ECU, it would be impossible.

Maybe you could replace all 5JA-XXX-XXX door control modules with their 6V0 counterparts from Fabia III which I think support the comfort windows, but you would also need extra wiring for the CANBUS signals from all four modules to the BCM under the steering wheel. The BCM should support it, at least in its highline versions -087+.

The cost for all this is forbidding though, each door module alone costs over 100 pounds!

Any volunteers to be guinea pig? If I had access to wiring diagrams I'd give it a go

They should be in the online workshop manuals available from ERWIN for 5 euro

Also this is a very "dirty" workaround that involves cutting and soldering wires - I would never do that.

If you are willing to do it though, it should be easy. I can help you to id the wires, but do invest these 5 euros in the ERWIN site as camelspyyder said, it is money well spent.

What's wrong with soldering some splices in? Done neatly they are easily removed back to standard with just a little making good.

I'll admit I'm bot too keen on a 2nd remote fob.

IDK, maybe it's because I am not so good at soldering - my hands are shaky

 

I'm sure that I 've seen kits like the one you mentioned, but with keys that resemble original VAG ones and that can be cut and programmed to replace the original. Google KE669W.
