DASH CAMS

Featured Replies

OK everyone, thinking of equipping my new car with a dash cam when it arrives, today's roads are getting a bit mad at times and should the worst happen I want a bit more than, my word against there's particularly as you can only get the Police to arrive if its a bad one these days. Any recommendations, advice, stay away from's, please.

There are loads of Threads on this, just use the Search function. I'd include General Car Chat, Technology and Superb III sub forums as part of your search criteria.

Been using a mini0806 purchased from GearBest for about 12mths now. No problems with it at all, excellent picture quality, very small and discrete. Mounted behind rear view mirror, can't see it at all from drivers position. Will be wiring it in to the fuse box when I take delivery of my MkIII superb in a week or two.

There is a new camera coming out soon, still in development at the moment though. Viofo A119. Very nice form factor and looks like it might be a tad better quality than the 806, time will tell...

Have a look at Techmoan’s youtube clips

I have used Blackview in my S2 and have a pair in the Yeti,

Smart witness in the truck and

Thinkware F750 front and rear (in the current Superb)

They are all good but personally I prefer the Blackview for it’s compactness and quality.

Next base 512G. Hard wired via a 'piggy back' fuse into the main board.

Full HD and quality good in all lighting conditions. Max card size limits it to around 2-hours of video on a continuous loop.
