Random phone disconnects

Recommended Posts

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Happens to me a couple of times a week and its starting to get annoying, I can be happy talking away on the phone when all of a sudden the phone disconnects from the car and I get a message on the car screen saying something along the lines of hands free connection cancelled. The only way to get it to connect again is go into the settings on the dash and manually select the phone and it will re-connect no problem.

its 2015 VRS with the standard sat nav unit in it.

I think I can now rule out phone as I got it replaced a couple of weeks ago after dropping it and the new one does the same thing

It's to do with which MY your car is. It'll either be MY15 or MY16. The latter, which is MIB2, has a slightly larger screen. 6.5inch as opposed to 5.8inch. That's probably the most obvious way to check. Mine is MIB2, had the car since last August and never had an issue. I've even got two phones sync'd at the same time, work and personal. Both have worked fine.

It's designed to cut out if it thinks you are fed up talking to the other person.

It's called- 'Simply Clever'!!!!

ha that would be great if the call ended but it just switches to the phone instead and the music starts blasting out the radio and anyone on the end of the phone gets to hear my bad music taste :)

Now that really is 'Simply Clever'

Not only does the car as good as cut the call, but it ensures they get an ear full of s***e music (your words, not mine lol) as punishment for annoying you.

I think these cars are cleverer than we give them credit for. Its like your best friend, always looking out for your best interests.

Whatever you do, dont take it to the stealers. They will just be jealous you have such a good friend, and will try their hardest (yeah right!!!!!) to bring that friend down.

I haven't taken any calls with my new car but I am having Bluetooth music cutting out. I'm going to have a mess around with it over the weekend and will test calls at the same time.

Have you asked the car if she liked the music? That could be the problem. Subtle hints from the car that she wants different music.

After all, we have now worked out just how clever the car is.....

For anyone thinking I'm mad think about this- I always play good music, and talk to the car every time I drive her. I have never had music cut out on me.

Coincidence? Or just simply clever!!!!!
