Kindly i wanted to ask about what does this setting do for the steering? It is set to 100% could lowering it make steering heavier? Also could it damage any thing?

Why dangerous while it is tested by some users already as per the link by langers2k?

Why would you want to **** about with it? You're just asking for trouble. Particularly if/when it goes south and you end up injuring someone else.

I just need the steering to be heavier and i don't have profile switch button

I wouldn't bother, it isn't worth the damage you could do to your car/yourself/other people. Don't take it the wrong way but if you don't like the steering, you should've bought a car you do like the steering on.

Pay Skoda/VAG specialist to mess with it and do it properly.

Generally, I would take Andyvee's approach of not changing anything 'mission critical' unless it's already well understood and explored - especially on other peoples cars.

 

In this instance, 'support power' has been changed on other VAG cars and rosstech provided a security code which allowed this modification. That suggests it's at least partially understood and probably reversible if the OP doesn't like it.

 

There are well known methods to adjust steering feedback for older steering modules ranging from simply changing a value in the controller to flashing a new steering curve. This is just part of the solution to fine tune the steering on newer steering modules.

I'm not sure it is fully understood yet, only seen a couple of references to it and they were people tinkering more than actually knowing what the end result would be.

Don't think it will damage anything or have any adverse effects, but that is a guess as I haven't really looked in to it.
