Is ET40 a step too far?

I have bought myself a set of 18x8 ET40 wheels, and they fit very nicely under the arches on my Scout!  :dance:

    Is ET40 a step too far?

    I had 17x8 ET35.  The rears were perfect.  The front had about 6mm too much poke for my liking.  I was going to get 8mm shaved off the inner hub face but sold the wheels instead.

     

    ET40 would be close to perfect in my world.
