Disconnecting battery

Featured Replies

If I disconnect the battery am I right in thinking there is no need for a radio code?

I've never done it myself but as the Columbus & Amundsen are programmed to be specific to the vehicle (i.e. you cant swap them without the dealer programming it to the vehicle it is in) I don't think there is a radio code to enter if the power goes off.

As long as its still the same unit fitted it should activate as normal.

Cheers Gabbo. That was my reasoning too

It should not be a problem with the radio according to my experience, but you will probably have lots of warning lights and some errors until you have driven maybe 1-200m and afterwards turned the car of and started it again.
