Hi, picking up my car in Friday, bought as a cancelled order. Only options I might have added to the SEL would have been heated rear seats (clearly missed this) and Smartgate.

Anyone know if dealer can fit Smartgate after? Seems like it might just be a s/w enablement...

Looks like it grabs relevant data from the CAN-BUS for transfer to a suitably connected smartphone or tablet.

same Škoda(.hit) with Samsung Note4, i can see only SmartGate apps

 

but what idiots have developed SmartGate is another story

 

I use original Samsung USB cable, and so far smartgate is by far the worst spended £100 ever.

I do get some vehicle data from Smartgate, but as my data connection get lost it is useless. Can't have the link operative during my journeys then.

Can't get mirrorlink to work either. It forces me to connect to smartgate, but even if I do I get no apps. Anyway, without data connection..... Useless!
