Activate Automatic Wiper via VCDS

Featured Replies

Hi all,

With my 2016 Yeti SE Business back in the garage for the second time! They have given me a 2015 Yeti L&K to use, it has automatic lights and automatic wipers.

Ive had a good look around and i can only see one sensor that must activate both the lights and the wipers. My Yeti has automatic lights but not wipers so t got me thinking, if it is the same sensor operating both, can the auto wipers be activated via VCDS?

Hi. Yes, you can activate via VCDS. It is the same sensor.

Here is how to do it. I did it on my without of problems.

If doesent work 1st time, just do it again and it will work.

You can also activate rain closing windows.

Here it is how to do it:

Might be the same might not.

The wife has a MKIII Fabia SE-L with auto lights, the light sensor is on the dash, in the middle. No auto wipers. You can get the Fabia MKIII SE-L with auto lights and auto wipers but the sensor for both is in the Mirror housing/fitting  pointing outwards towards the front The Fabia without auto wipers use the same mirror housing/fitting but theres no sensor in it. I believe it can be retro fitted and made to work

The Yeti might be the same but I'm not sure.

On the Yeti it is the same sensor. Same sensor for automatic light, same senzor for rain.
