Rattle / vibration from from passenger air vent area

Got one little rattle/vibration noise which can only be heard when the radio is off.  Plastic on plastic type noise.

Need to get the wife driving the car and me feeling the panels/trims in the passenger area to find the root cause as my arms are not long enough while driving. !!

Also, i have a slight rattle from the parcel shelf load cover too.

My glovebox rattles (goes silent if the glovebox is opened).

Leave the radio on then!

While fitting my dash cam I noticed there is some very lightweight wadding on the back of the glovebox. Can't see it being dense enough to stop vibration. just wondering if something more substantial there would help? maybe poke a wash sponge over the back of the glovebox then shut it to test the theory. I don't have any rattles on mine.

If its a diesel you have to expect some vibration, thats what they do..

Engine vibration,  yes of course, ,,, however trim vibration should not be transferred into the cabin.

Im sure this is something of nothing and will just need a tweak to resolve.

Sounds like a common SII problem rearing its head again in the SIII !

My SII TDI does not make any noises! (Other than the ones it's supposed to, that is :) ) It seems like its a diesel only problem on the SIII?

My issue reported here is not an problem... its just slight rattle/buzz.

I reckon re position of the airvent or pressure on the panels in that area will sort it.

Once radio is on you cant hear it at all.

The car is still empty with nothing in it.

I have repositioned the passenger airvent closest to the door and it's not stopped.

I've got one of these dashboard buzzes/ vibrations. I don't really want the dealer stripping stuff out experimenting on possible solutions, but am hoping that someone else will solve this ( I know - very selfish! But I'm afraid that it could be worse when returned!)

It's a bit embarrassing explaining to passengers that this supposed top model has such a fundamental flaw.
