Hi all, im new to skodas, i recently bought a 2001 Octavia TDI Estate ex-police car. However im not new to the VAG range, ive always been into VWs and i am part of club GTI and was doing the membership at some point. I live about 10 minutes down the road from JBS auto designs in Derbyshire.

If you're lucky, your ex-police car may have the metal sump guard fitted as many forces had them as standard on their cars.

Ive not really looked at that yet, i know derbyshire police ripped the sump of thier v5 bora 5 times lol. Ive noticed the lack of abuse i seem to get now i have a white estaqte car rather than a mk4 polo lol

We have one member who got a new "police":) car ...she saw it and bought it before the police knew it was waiting for them and she gets the same responce from other drivers

Yes, its even better if you wear a high vis jacket aswell. plus mine has 2 aerials on the roof with steel wheels lol.

Ill have to have a look, ive just passed my advanced driving test so my insurance should come down quite a bit so i think a chip is the first thing on the register. Also, ive been trying to get a picture of an octavia vrs special (the one with the skoda vinyls on it-100 made) does anybody know of any links?

When I was out on my Bike on Saturday I pulled up at the lights next to a corsa full of 18/19 year old girls all singing along to that at the top of their voices. They had tinsel all over the car and were obviously loving it.

Grant - try doing a Google image search for "Octavia WRC" you should find some on there. Alternativle, try the search feature on this site.

i can only get the wrc full livery, this ones kind of a half livery, its got the green swish up the side and the logo. Just cant find it anywhere

Here is one that seems to have had its big rear spoiler changed for a standard VRS item.
