DSG paddle extentions help

Featured Replies

I looked at a few threads on this, and took advice and I thought I'd ordered the correct paddles for my 2010 VRS

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322020838495?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

They have arrived today and they look very nice (well impressed) but when I offer them up my paddles seem more curved and the extentions seem too flat, like if I was to fit them only the outer edges would stick as they don't seem to follow the contours of the paddles.

I think I maybe should have gone for these ones, as the curves seem like they would match the contour of my paddles better.

just after some advice has anyone fitted the first set on a VRS and how close did they match the contours of the paddles?

Thanks

  • These are the paddles on my 2012 CTHE pre FL interior.   Paddle extensions arrive tomorrow so will report back!

  • These are the ones you need for the 2013 CTHE, I know this as mine is the 2013 CTHE on a 63 plate and I bought these very same ones last week and fit perfectly http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminum-Meta

  • I can confirm the new paddles fit and look very good, here's the link   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172021205084?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=470891876213&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Can't assist but I had a look at mine the other day they seem to have 3 lines on the back of them so I would assume it's the 2nd ones

I own a 2013 Fabia vRS (Estate)

Can't see your links on my phone, but check your paddles and the 3 ridges or not.

That second set will definitely not fit

I'll see if I can find the link for the ones I fitted on mine (2011 vrs)

Some are hard to tell from pics especially with 3m tape on

cheers for the replies, my paddles are curved on the back and have the 3 ridges which if why I thought they would fit #confused

the ones i got the recess is to flat on only touches the front and back edge of the paddle no way they will stay on mot enough contact area to stick securely, daz600 are the back of your paddles flat?

the paddle rear has a slight curve iirc

I no longer have the car so cannot check exactly

my Ebay purchase info wont go back far enough to see what I bought but they did look a lot like this

Thanks I messaged a few sellers one replied saying they fit Leon mk3 paddle extensions to a fabia vrs a customer brought in so that would be he correct ones to get, so I've ordered the set he recommended

Post which ones you get, after a set myself.

WIll do they arrived today, I will check at lunchtime that they are going to fit and then I'll post the link up

Are the paddles on the cave and CTHE engine the same?

  • Author

I would imaging so as the steering wheels will be the same, mines a 2010 and has a slight curve to the back with 3 little lines you can feel

The Steering Wheels are not the same after Skoda added a bit of plastic chrome, and the paddles are not the same,

which is why the Extensions need to suit what you have.

ie the ones just shown for a CAVE.

You need the different paddle extension  for the facelifted interior with the different shape paddles.

Ahh my bad, I do have a set of DSG paddles that don't fit mine that should fit the later model is anyone is interested

The hunt continues for a set that fit my 2013 CTHE then

Why not buy those that are available in post#15 above your post.

Those sound to be what you need.

If your interested let me know and I can stick some pictures of the ones that dont fit mine, but should fit the later model

Let me know when you find the correct ones  :notme:

Stick some pics up if both sets m8, which ones are you selling and how do they look in? Are they functional? Easier to use the paddles? Or purely cosmetic?

Can you be clear, does the paddles on your car have the 3 ridges or not?

I've taken the plunge into the paddle extension lottery.

My car is late 2012 CTHE but pre interior facelift. The existing paddles are pretty much flat on the back with three vertical extruded grooves.

Will report back once they arrive.

I'm thinking we'll never know ha!

Yes my car does have the 3 ridges on it, however the paddle is not flat. Btw the pic is upside down for some reason
