felicia mpg diesel

Featured Replies

kp/h to be exact

I am still amazed that i am in the red and can do an airport return (6hrs auroroute) and still the needle stays put!

I get 1000kms before it touches red

I do 400kms before the needle moves off full

so if i get 1000-12000kms a tank is that normal??? its so good that the fuel cap welds itself on so little used.

i dont want my babe to break, she is ultra ultra economical is a bit slow and boring

I only fill up with diesel when the orange light comes on. Once full I reset the trip and routinely get 400 miles before needing to fill again. I don't know if this is equivalent to what you're getting, I'm not keen on finding how far I can go with the warning light on :) I don't overfill either, just let the pump click off and that's it.

Our old 1.3 gets almost identical mileage but is quite a bit slower and more hesitant than the diesel.

got a 1.3lxi and is pants 400miles MAX to the tank

the gazole i rekon is doing 7-800miles to the tank at half the price of petrol, admit it tops out at 160kp/h 100mph, but she's good still to take most on the autoroute........ if not to slow the germans down "evil grin"

Interestin stuff this..My 19D Felicia absolutely slurps the Gazole down.

260-300 max from Brim to Yella Light on....

Now I`m savvy enough to kno that the 1.9D VW lump has a great reputation for frugality and i`m at a loss to figure out why mine has lost it.

The usual signs of overfuelling would be Black Smoke, and lots of it surely ?

The performance of my machine is very good with no lack of ooomph but I wonder if there was an "Opening Out" situation by a P.O would this account for the shytt poor mileage ?

I do 104 miles a day, 90% motorway miles at 70-80 mph.

I get 45mpg.

i started the thread and sorry cant do mpg. can only say what i get per tank. i overfill like mad....... huge splash marks all down the side of the car :) still she gives very good performance. Just repaired after sitting on jacks a few months with knackered front brakes. cant drive two cars so used the 99lxi EVERY week at the filling station FFS. Got gazole repaired and .......... a month not been there yet :) have to say its a 95/96GLXD.... italian, and the one with the dodgy exhaust... well it fits where it can! Had that 'tractor' fixed and lost about 100kms to the tank. but she takes off better, and wheel spins a lot now.. have to take care pulling away to stop that.
