VCDS fault codes

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Firstly, I've no symptoms or issues when driving. But if I do a change on VCDS I always run a scan before and after. (just enabled cornering fobs).

I've got the two following fault codes:

1) 1 Fault Found:
21419 - Internal Control Module Error
          P2610 00 [032] - Engine Shut-down Timer
Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
             Freeze Frame:

2) 1 Fault Found:
10763 - Starter Enable from Selector Lever Sensor System
          P1734 00 [002] - -
Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
             Freeze Frame:

I've done a search and nothing really has come back that suggests what the reason for this is, as I've got no warning lights or symptoms, I'm not overly worried just wondered what they mean.

Anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Mike

No fault code found.

They are recorded as intermittent, so could have been there for ages. Clear them and see if they come back.

Will do, I noticed that they are intermittent, so wasn't overly worried. Just weird.

Thank you.

Second one is to do with selecting Reverse on a DSG starts the engine again if Start/Stop has kicked in. Just about every DSG O3 I have seen has this logged at some point.

  • 1 month later...

So the fault code 10763 is nothing to worry about?
