Ibiza bushes or polys off ebay?

Featured Replies

Got my rear lower arm bushes to do what do people PERSONALLY think are the better and what non ibiza ones have you used mines a daily driver

Both do the same job but ploybushes normally come in two parts that simply push together in the arm, the cupra ones need to be pressed in and there's a certain way there meant to go.

There's no difference in driving feel, PSB's are however much easier to fit and need no special tools.

Am I right in saying that it is usually bushes that cause the 'squeaking' when going over speed bumps?

Iv got a knocking noise

Maybe drop links then if it rattles and knocks.

I replaced drop links the other week, hasn't stopped the squeaking, although perhaps they weren't as bad as your's? As I can't say I noticed any knocking.

if it's a squeak it's more than likely the console bushes, if it's a clunk its more likely to be the anti roll bar bushes.

I have Powerflex 2 part bushes and TBH I don't like them. Every winter they start creaking and I have to re-lube them. Pain in the bottom...

Mine is on SuperPros (front and rear console). I wouldn't trade them for anything. Along with UniRoyal RS3s and OEM suspension setup, they're just brilliant. As wilsonian said, the bushes might be a little bit noisy on bad roads. Actually, it's not that bad and they do start to squeek a bit when the car is cold and temps are dropping below 7C. After driving the car for a while they seem to get quiet though. I'm now rebuilding the engine, but after this, I will save to replace the rear beam bushes (SPF2481K), engine and gearbox mounts with SuperPros as well.
