The front grille Skoda badge on my 2007 (07 reg) mk 2 petrol vRS is looking faded and tired. I'd like to replace it with a new one. I've searched parts sites and two different part numbers seem to be coming up.:

• 1U0853621CMEL
• 3U0853621BMEL

 

I've seen both of them listed in various places as being correct for the Octavia, though the 3U part seems to get more hits for the Yeti.

 

Can anyone tell me what the difference between them is please and which is the correct part for my Octavia or may I use either please? I'd like to keep the correct appearance for the year.

The 1U one is for the boot, and the 3U is for the front.

Thank you. Most of the sites incorrectly say they're both for the front.

Well they will both fit the front    Mine came with a rear badge in the front, and it was not untill I started taking the grille apart for paint I realised it was a rear badge.  :p
