Maaaaaannnnn that's sweet! The car I lusted over all through my 2CV owning months No seriously, I've still got a soft spot fot the old Eastern-Bloccers! I'm amazed to learn how few of them are still about, is it true about the VAG-takeover skullduggery? The last one I saw was about to be stripped down to build a James Dean Porsche Speedster replica...could be worse I guess.

I like old cars, but if Skoda were still churning out cars like that, I'd be driving a VW!

Unfortunately then you'd be missing out on some of the best steering feel in the business. The old 130's and Rapids handled pretty well in their time, and also featured decent braking. If you could respect the rear engined handling, they could be hustled along as quick as everything else.

But I guess you prefer the heavy weight of the Octavia by comparison.
