rapid Spaceback 65 passenger seat

Featured Replies

disappointed that there isn't a height control on passenger seat. My wife is petite and can't see over the dashboard. Halford's cushion too high. Anyone any Ideas please

Other than using a smaller cushion, there's not a lot else you can do other than retrofitting a height-adjustable seat from another car.

Would be a lot of hassle, but could you get a LHD driver's side seat imported from Europe?

This is an extra on the SB and I suppose it will also be an extra on other Rapid models, as such I don't think you'll find many cars with this fitted.

I think your options would be,  finding one on a breaker's yard (unlikely as explained above), retrofitting one (would love to know if this is possible and how expensive) or buying a new seat.

Not sure if it would work for a Skoda, but a few times I have contacted a trader on Ebay Germany when looking for a spare for our VW. May be worth a try contacting a trader who sells say,  VW seats in case they stock Skoda ones too?.  I say Germany because they seem to be a little cheaper or offer more options sometimes.

Are you still in the time scale to take it back? Do so and buy a Toledo instead.  Same car with 2 height adjuster seats.

[offtopic-ish] My Rapid has a height adjusted passenger seat. Interesting to see how the features differ in different markets.

My MY15 Rapid SB has two height adjusted seats, standard with the Elegance trim (the top one). The other trims offer only one such seat (the driver's), but you can add the second as an extra (if you are willing to wait four months for a custom-made car).

My MY14 Rapid Elegance has 2 height adjustable seats too.
