It appears the 3rd party GPS receiver which came with my retro fitted Columbus has decided it does not want to be reliable - it keeps failing to detect any satellites properly and yesterday thought I was in Swindon rather than Exeter (in the morning).  Come the evening it was happy again, but after 90 minutes of use it gave up the ghost again.

 

Any recommendations as to a a reliable unit?  I'm just glad I never got as far as tucking this unit above the headlining (currently it sits on top of the passenger sun visor).
