Is it realistic/doable(/sensible) to get some gasket material and cut my own gasket for the throttle body?

I think that's what I would do!

I literally done it the other day. Easiest thing to do on a Skoda. Changing a bulb can be more difficult lol

or any vw dealer mine came from a vw van dealership
