Hi, I like to carry some engine oil with me in case of unexpected problems. Do I need to buy oil from the nice Mr. Skoda, or can I get it from Halfords ?      Many thanks as always. K

Halfords, & even Asda sell oil to VW specifications.

(There's no special Skoda oil as such, VW oils are used across all their brands.) 

Probably cheaper from them too.

 

Otherwise Opie Oils are good,but the carriage charges might be high, also try GSF or Euro Car Parts.

5/30 C3 longlife. (VW 504 00 / 507 00) is what you need.
