Samsung Galaxy S5

Featured Replies

Had a mishap and broke the glass part of the screen on my phone. I have seen some replacement parts on ebay but they look more like plastic.

Does anyone on here have experience of mobile phone repairs?

Plenty of high street shops can fit a new screen but if you have the tools and patience, have a go.

Timpson can do it in a day but if you have it done in a shop, make sure to test the screen fully before leaving.

There are always sim free refurbished phones for sale (argos ebay shop) often worth a look at.

Good luck.

Think I will sell the phone. All still works ok. How much do you think it's worth?

Samsung Galaxy s5 cracked but working screen.

Comes with box and accessories including manuals?

Cracked screen will kill it's value regardless of being boxed etc.

Sub £100 probably

I replaced the screen on my wifes S5 a few months ago.

It was so well smashed up that I couldn't remove the glass from the LCD display.....if I could it would have only cost about £10 to fix it. I had to replace the whole class and LCD assembly at a cost of £100. It is fairly easy to do if you have a heat gun....wouldn't fancy trying to melt the glue with a hair dryer! Plenty of videos online to show the process.
