Fitting the grill was fun..... Read a post on here that the guy removed the bumper with relative ease, hmm, even with a two poster I had the arch liners & the under shield off! Removing the grill was much easier than I thought, the melted plastic tags of the bumper trimmed easily with a Stanley knife and left enough to re-melt the tags to hold on the SuperSkoda grille. Splitter was tricky to line up - had to unclip another inner part of the bumper to be able to bolt it on, but I'm pleased with the results...

While the wheels were off I painted the disc bells with aluminium paint, hopefully this will keep the rust at bay......

Splitter looks damn good. As does our lift! ;)

Looks good. Just a strange observation here..... My Scout arrives on the 6th, next Friday, and my registration will be PK16 ZJE, very similar to yours! By the way, were you given the option  to have plain plates or are the GB/UK one's standard? How easy was it to fit the front mud flaps?

Some dealers put GB or eu on, some don't. It's their decision unless you tell them what you want. Suppose GB is only relevant if you drive overseas, saves buying a sticker. They must however have at least the postcode of where the plates were produced, usually at the bottom. Dealers loopuse it as an advert anyway.

Hi Roger, bought my car via broker New-Car-Deal (absolutely fantastic btw!) and wasnt given the option on the plates. Until I was given the reg no a few days before I took delivery I had no idea where it was coming from! Googled 'PK' to see what area it was & guessed it was coming from Simpsons Preston (which pleased me as Neil Simpson is a rallying man!).

Front flaps were easy to fit, you have to make one 7mm hole in the arch liner for the bottom fixing but the fixing is a fur tree type push in plastic fastener so you could use a small screwdriver to 'drill' the hole & use a bigger one to ream it to the right size. Bit tight to get even a cordless drill in there as the disc is about 12" away. But overall its a piece of pi$$.

Great stuff, thanks for that info. Hope I can fix them to my Scout in the same way.

So glad the car will be coming to Devon on a trailer if it's traveling all the way from Preston!!

Got mine through "new car discount.com", I knew they were based up north somewhere, so thought it may have been sourced through Simpsons. They never gave away too much on progress of the car, but as I got £5300 of the list price, it was a small price to pay.

Thanks again for the info and will keep my eye out for your car/registration if I come up to Wales again. (Was up there a few weeks back walking the Pembrokeshire coast path.)

Is this a lease hire car then or on pcp?

outright purchase mate.

Ah, when I searched for New-car-deal I only got lease type stuff

I like the splitter, looks great!  Race blue is the best colour too IMO, especially with the black grille.

Regarding the supplying dealer, Simpsons are my local and I've had nothing but great service from them with both Servicing and Warranty issues. They also have a dealership in Colne (East Lancs), which would still fall under the Preston area for Reg purposes, so it will have come from either Preston or Colne. Preston is bigger but their Registered office is Colne, so not sure where they do it.

With the wrapped roof..... Guy said it was an absolute bar-steward due the roof bars not being removed (actually said never again). Downfall is there had to be cuts/joins to go around the bar fixings, but still, I think it looks good.....
