Hatchbag bootliner and partition net?

Featured Replies

I wondering about ordering a bootliner from Hatchbag. But has anyone used one of those together with boot partition net?

On the pictures it looks like they might come in conflict with each other.

I have the full Hatchbag set up in my MKII Octy Scout. I asked them about still being able to use the hooks and power outlet and they told me to just cut out inserts over them as the material will not rip.

Near 5 years later, and no rips! I used a Gerber to cut the inserts.

But with the partition net i will have to cut almost the entire width of the back seat.

I mean the the partition net who is mounted on behind the backseats and extends to the roof.

I don't have that, not sure the Octy MkII even had that as an option.

From the images of the net partition I have found on the Internet, my interpretation is it is anchored on the same runner as the retractable luggage cover?

If that is correct, there is no need to cut that part of the Hatchbag at all as it shouldn't conflict. I have the MkII retractable cover with lidded storage box, and a Skoda oem dog guard fitted, and it works perfectly.

I have only made incisions to the side panels;2 X luggage lugs and 1 X 12v power socket.

The net is boltet on on back of the seatbacks. So a long cut is necessary.

I think I'll just send them a mail and ask.

Does this mean you can't fold the seats down with the net partition in place?

I can fold one of seats without doing anything to the net. If I want to fold both seats i have to disconnect the net from the roof.

But once the seats are folded, the net has mountingpoints in the roof behind the front seats.

So it can be used both with folded and upright seats.
