I knew it'd come out one day, now we just need some VCDS owner to take a look at the VRS or Superb Sportline to figure out the coding

I thought that coding is not enough for this - you can maybe code the options but it is a licensed option that needs a code and needs to be enabled by Skoda.

I don't think this will ever be possible with just coding alone.

This is in the software but to get it activated coding FeC/SWaP code is required, you cannot do it with VCDS :(

It is the same thing as Mirrorlink. You need to pay to activate it - you cannot just enable it via VCDS.

Only dealer can provide you a code, since it is specific to the car.

No one else can activate SWaP features.

I was afraid of that as my local dealer is playing dumb saying they do not understand what Im asking for. Even after saying it’s on the 245 they have on the forecourt!! 

Back to the drawing board then and call further afield.

As linked above, Pab567 activated the display in my car just because it’s something else for it to have, so might as well. It’s cool, but tbh I never use it. If you really want it, might be worth dropping him a line, but it’s probably not worth it IMO. I had mine added while my radio was with him for other coding so it was a ‘free’ extra if you like that I wasn’t paying for. Here it is on my car.

No, if it could do that it’d be cool! It has those 3 gauges and a lap timer, but you can activate a lap timer in the Maxidot anyway. There is a ‘display acceleration’ tab in the Instrument cluster settings accessed on VCDS/OBDEleven, but I ticked it and it didn’t do anything.

ive seen a 0-60 on the golf r and gti , quite cool, im trading up my tuning box for the bluetooth version as it has this function in the app. 

Is that a DTUK tuning box? I do keep looking at those but I go back and forth between them and a proper remap.

Not as easy as that. Been to mine and they looked like I’d asked them for Fridays Euro Lottery numbers.

Sounds a stereotypical dealer response unfortunately. I went back to my dealer because I couldn't fathom how to attach the detachable towbar and I was told 'you'll need to book it in if you want a towbar fitting'. 

 

That's been the only dealing with the aftersales so far, so asking them for this doesn't fill me with confidence.
