Wind noise

Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone tried 3M door seal tape to reduce wind noise and if so any success?

I've just ordered some gaskets for door (Z & D-shape) and hood (D-shape) from china.

I'll check how it all fits once it arrives...3 weeks or so from now.

My intention is to seal gaps on each side of the hood, front edge of door and fill the gap between gaskets in the area behind side mirrors.

Seems a bit extreme - just how bad is the wind noise? I had problems with the Octy 2 but not on the Octy 3, the shut lines are pretty good.

I think that most of the wind noise actually comes from the mirrors rather than door sealing.

On my Octy I don't find the Wind noise any worse than our other car.

Yep there's only wind noise after a curry...

The road noise is the main culprit.

I find SWMBO is the main culprit for wind noise

Wind noise gets bad over 130 km/h. On 160 km/h without loud music to cover the noise it's terrible.

Hi ,  Have you applied Z or D shape seals ,  any improvement with reducing wind noise ?  my o3 has the same issue.

I'm not sure where the noise is located ,  edge of door or rather shape of mirrors generate that annoying noise.

In fact ,  if you drive more than 60mph ,you can hear that both side , the drive side and passanger side.

I'd appricate if you can share your experience with that.
