Torque settings and workshop manual

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I usually service my bike and car myself. I found the haynes manual quite useful for this but I note there isnt one for the mk2 octavia yet. Is the mk1 manual significantly different? With my yamaha I found a very detailked workshop manual which tells you exactly how to do stuff in order, and to what torque settiongs. I cant find anything similar for these cars. Does anyone have one? I have seen the owner's manual and I have this, but it is useless really. Any help would be great.

There's a mk2 Oct Haynes, but it's for diesel models only.

What model do you have, or better yet, engine code?

It's a pretty awful site to navigate, but workshop manuals is pretty comprehensive: http://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/

Then, for exploded diagrams and part numbers, you have etka: http://etka.cc/skoda/

Many thanks for the info. Certainly helped me out with a couple of minor jobs I had to do.
