servicing

Featured Replies

when you by a new S3 from a dealer do you get a free service several months after you take delivery just to check everything's ok? I remember getting this on a new Volvo a few years ago.

If you buy on PCP through a dealer you currently get the 10k and 20k services for free, but not aware of any other check ups.

No the 1000 mile service dates back to the Austin Metro!

However a Skoda dealer will give it a free check if you were concerned.

My S2 1.9 PD Greenline was called in for a mandatory 1,000 mile inspection and service (oil change) in 2010. I believe they dropped it with the newer gen CR engines though, and as for the petrols I don't know whether they ever did it or not.

thanks for the responses. it's on hire purchase. the salesman suggested that I don't pre buy te servicing plan as if I do the option where the car works out when it wants a service I might only need one in the 3 year lease period - does that make sense?!

As far as I was aware, if you select the service plan, the car must be set to fixed services.

Mine is on a 4 year contract hire and is set at 20k, I do about 10k a year so I'm planning on just 2 services before it goes back. I had a Passat a few cars back on a 3 year deal so that went back with just one service.
