Estate rear bumper protection; plastic or tape?

Featured Replies

The Estate I'm buying does not come with a lip protector on the bumper. Our Fabia estate has one and it does a good job of protecting it from scuffs.

I'm torn between a clear tape or plastic / metal lip. The car is cappuccino colour so a dark plastic might look a bit crass.

Don't do what I did and buy some bumper tape from China off eBay. It was very poor quality and bubbled within a few days of putting it on.

That's what I was wondering. I think I'm gonna have to plonk down £50 or so for a metal one

I have the stainless steel one (on my combi).  3 years on and it still looks good.

I'll have to wait - they say "*** NOT FOR THE FACELIFT MODELS ***"

20% off everything at Superskoda this weekend....black, chrome and carbon fibre boot protection strips available I think.....

Nothing personally to do with me as such (I have used them before and found them to be very good value if you do your research on prices first) - might be of value to members on here:

I also have the stainless steel one (still looks great after 3 years)  but the first one they sent was sharp enough to make you bleed.

I had to send a video of it slicing through paper before they sent a replacement but I have continued to buy from them without any other incidents.
