1.4 TFSI vrs brake upgrades

Featured Replies

hi chaps my brakes and disks needs replacing as they are very worn , i wanted some better disks and pads ? that fit straight onto the old ones so no mods are needed any ideas :) ? its a 12 plate skoda fabia vrs

pagid or OEM are more than up to the task tom.

The 312 mod is also very effective although it involves new parts.

The 312mm upgrade is a good one, I as well as many others have it done and it certainly feels better having more bite on the disc. Have a scan around these forums to see what carriers and calipers are needed.

MK1 Octavia vrs parts.

You can get a good deal if someone is breaking one, I paid £200 for full front 312mm and 256 vented rears for my bora.

I'm looking to do the same.

Will any of the VW platform 312mm set ups work on the fabia?

Also have many people done the 334mm upgrade or is it a bit pointless on such a light car?

Cheers!

312mm setup from A3, Mk1 TT or Mk1 Oct aviation fit.

Also Mk4 Golf R32 334mm 2 piece disc setup is a direct fit. Although consumables for this setup are silly money.

The cost of the r32 334mm upgrade made me feel sick.

Yes, I've just been checking prices of discs online......

I thought I was searching for Bentley Turbo parts when I saw the price....!

Think I'll be going down the 312mm route!

I've done the r32 334mm brakes and they was amazing it was like chucking an anchor out the back of the car....

But had to take them of to fit my oz futura split rims

So now running 312mm and 256mm there good but not as good as the r32 ones in my opinion

Yeah, I'll bet they were dynamite!

What's actually needed to upgrade the fronts to 312mm on the MK2 vRS

Is it a case of buying 312mm discs & pads for a MK1 TT ?

Carriers & calipers. You can get discs and pads from mk1 octavia, mk4 golf (i think), S3, Mk1 TT and a few others.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but do the Oct 2 VRS calipers fit a mk2 Fabia VRS I know discs are different stud pattern.
