Anyone with VCDS in the North West?

Featured Replies

I know there's a VCDS section and a list of owners, but PMs aren't proving very useful atm. One guy has the required HEX+CAN but doesn't know anything about the Superb and said he'd be loathe to mess about with mine. He did say I could borrow the kit (very kind) but I wouldn't have a clue! So in the hopes that someone (1) familiar with the S3 and (2) fairly local-ish (I can travel in the North West / Merseyside / Lancashire areas) has VCDS and wouldn't mind doing a couple of tweaks for beer money or whatever, I'd appreciate you giving me a shout.

I'm hoping to get the Audi throttle switch set, and a couple of other minor tweaks (refuel quantity, possibly rear lights with DRLs) done when I get the car back this week. TIA.

andyvee is your man.

Not sure if he has done a S3 yet, there is not much he hasn’t done on an O3 (which is basically the same coding for most things)

Cheers Gizmo, I'll give him a PM. :)

  • 1 month later...

He told me he has not done an S3 but was very willing to help.

TBH the S3 s very similar to the O3, so Andy will have no issues.

I'll vouch for Mr Vee, done a few thinks for me in the past

Unfortunately I did PM AndyVee over a month ago when you suggested he might be able to help, but he hasn't read my PM. Do you have any other suggestions at all? I'm really hoping to get the Audi throttle mod done. The sloppy/dead throttle response in normal mode is really annoying! I have to default to sport mode for twisty roads (which is fine) but there needs to be a compromise for more usual roads where red-lining every gear isn't appropriate but you still need the car to respond underfoot.
