vRS badge aggression

Featured Replies

Had an an 'unmarked car' problem with my Black Mk2 FL but can't say i have noticed it with the current Race Blue Mk3.  Perhaps I am not paying enough attention and don't notice it anymore.  Still have problems with the 'Max Power' generation and normally ignore them but on occasion enjoy showing them what the rolling acceleration is like and leave them sitting in Lane 2!

Never experienced this even once  .On my 3rd Octavia vRs spanning roughly 9 years of vRS ownership.

Maybe it's a confirmation bias type thing.

Not a vRS but used to get the Police thing in my Mk2 White Superb Estate. Amount of drivers who would slow down when they saw me on the motorway, especially in 50 mph roadworks.

Phew - I thought I was alone with the mistaken identity thing. Our local force used to have a vRS the same age and colour as mine, except the reg started VX, not YX, however, glancing in the mirror mine does look like VX.......Don't suppose the dash cam in the windscreen  by the mirror helps either. Not had the boy racers trying it on yet though, if they do, sod 'em, happier just plodding (no pun intended) along these days at a steady pace - damn fuel computers have got a lot to answer for, lol.

I had a guy in his fabia Vrs try, smoked him ;)

Do you ever think the reason why they 'challenge' you is from the responses of many, you respond by accepting the 'challenge'?

I'm a paramedic. I Always remove high Vis from any visible area.. I've had lots of folks try and burn me off at lights... I just let them have it, I enjoy my leisurely drive in my comfy mk3
