Watch out for these sneeky cops

Featured Replies

Spotted around the Merseyside area these cops are disguised as learners and pounce on you when you overtake them.

Must only be if you pass where not safe to do so or you break the posted speed limit is it not?

They will be doing it for the general safety of other road users and the public!

I wonder what 'Nick' the get you off Solicitor will say in court if defending a driver,

or if he would even need to appear for one stopped by an Unmarked Police Vehicle displaying an 'L' Plate.

PS

Looks like the 'L' Plate was slapped on as a joke by someone.

The Officers might have noticed if they checked their lights before a shift,

so many do not seem to.

Surely they will only pull you over if you overtake in a dangerous fashion?

Generally speaking, it's good practise to give a learner plenty of room and not go hammering past them doing 50 in a 30? I see that sort of nonsense all the time round where I live.

We all had to learn to drive once.

It's lies... somebody stuck an l plate on a cop car without them knowing.

IIRC this has been discredited and is total fiction.

^^^^ agreed.

Aye, it was discredited as a photoshop on the Briskoda Bookface page.

A shame as no tactics are too underhand to snare a Vectra  .

I was going to say, looks like typical FB bull****.
