We're all newbies at some point.. most important part is to have some fun! No one, least of all me, is expecting to see the reincarnation of Senna out there. Just a laugh, a get together and a good time whilst on track.

What do I need other than a car obviously?

I couldn't think of a better opportunity for a first attempt in my opinion. Surrounded by briskodians and Richards mates, you'll be in good hands :)

A helmet (mine cost £25 online) and your drivers licence is the bare minimum. Can even rent a helmet on the day usually

Oh and make sure your car is below the noise limit of the track, a couple of guys in fabias got pulled off in February as their aftermarket exhausts were too loud

I'm going to be running a piper cat back soon, probably won't be an issue as mines only stage 1 as well.

Drivers license.

Helmet (£10-15 on the day)

Sense of humour.

That's about it.

On a serious note being a private day means much less chance of randoms.

Not going to be any race teams out testing Caterhams etc... As the very small number of racers get what the day is about.

And we can sort a bit of tuition too as several experienced people there.

I'd LOVE someone that knows what they're doing to show me how to correctly tackle Paddock Hill. Driven it virtually loads of times but never really get it right.

Beware a green car going slowly on the day!

Helmet and possibly track insurance if your a little concerned for a first time.

Depending on how old your tyres are you may need another set of wheels/ tyres.

Brand new road tyres with lots of tread can get ruined on a dry track
