Cutting that a bit fine! :D

What's the deal with arranging passenger passes? Can this be sorted on the day or needs booking in advance and if so any idea on cost etc? Also will a driver wristband allow you to passenger-ride in other cars or need separate passenger pass too? Sorry for all the questions! :-)

Driver wristband means you can drive or passenger in any car on track.

Additional drivers are £30 per person, pay on the day.

Passenger wristbands are £10, pay on the day.

Helmet hire if you need it is £10-15 IIRC, also pay on the day.

Sorry, but with 50 people booked in and half a dozen reserves I'd rather not take any money at this stage.

Probably best to wait nearer the time and see if we have a number of drop outs.

Ok no worries let me know if things change

I should probably follow this if I'm booked to do this track day  :peek:

What do I need other than a car obviously?

Helmet and possibly track insurance if your a little concerned for a first time.

Depending on how old your tyres are you may need another set of wheels/ tyres.

Brand new road tyres with lots of tread can get ruined on a dry track

A good insurer for track days who I use whilst I gain confidence on track is Moris - http://moris.co.uk/ you might waste £100 odd at the end of the day, but if the worst were to happen, you're covered at least :)

Me and WookieM are testament to this, we both used Moris and we are both pleased with the outcome (WookieM's topic: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/368551-track-day-insurance-my-advice-in-2-pictures/#entry4353518)

That happened at the National at Rockingham and mine at Snetterton in November 3 weeks after I bought the car  :peek:

Cost me £95 to insure it for the day including excess protection which is WELL worth the £14 it cost, excess was £750 IIRC and admin fee was £125, but that excess protection saved me the £750 so that £2200 worth of damage was fixed for £220 including the cost of the policy.

And that's why I went out and bought a £175 Octavia...

If you only want to go as a passenger you don't need to be on the list - just turn up with your lid, pay for a passenger wrist band (usually £10) and then blag some passenger rides from the friendly folk.

You can hop in with me no probs. I'm bringing a pal along also.

What time does the day go on til? Will need to drop kids at school that morning so will miss some of the early time.

I think it's usually around 4pm for trackdays at that time of year.

Always happy to give a passenger ride in the Yeti :)
