1. remove the negative battery terminal

 

2.remove the steering wheel by removing the bolt.

 

3.now remove the radio and any additional wiring to it including the aerial feed to it.

 

4.remove the instrument cluster.

 

5. unscrew the fuse box from the facia assembly by just unscrewing the bolt and leave it hanging

 

6.remove the headlight beam adjuster assembly from the left of the steering coloumn taking care of the plastic as it easily breaks if you force it.

 

7.open the glovebox and unclip the glovebox insert and remove it.

 

8.now remove 2 retaining screws which are located in the instrument cluster area where there is a black metal thing and in the glovebox area besides the heather exact.

 

9.now remove all the lower retaining screws there should be around 6 screws.

 

10.now there are 6 bolts in the engine bay, 2 lower ones which are located on each side and 4 upper ones with the insulation plates. they can be pretty hard to remove and if the nut keeps unscrewing and doesnt loosen up like mine did. get a pair of pliers and hold the bolt from behind.

 

11. now all you have to do is remove the whole dashboard by pulling on it. it will be a bit hard at first, but it will come out.

 

12. you're all done, enjoy a beer ! :)

Actually the bolt is a M14 nut.

Hey thanks jonnycilia for finally posting your work as you promised. I need to do the same some time later 'cause I have some water coming inside when it rains heavily so I will be using a good sealant where needed. Thank you Ricardo for the hi-res pictures.

Thanks, that was my purpose too of removing the dashboard. Prepare for a massacre of rust because thats what was the case with mine.

I had a massive hole of rust i fiber filled it and primed it and sealed it. And i also primed and sealed it from the inside
