Focus ST

Featured Replies

Anyone had a go in one?

Curiosity got the better of me and I popped into the local Ford dealer yesterday. They had a 3 door ST-3 in sea grey in the showroom that was very nice. I must admit I'm sorely tempted after having a good poke around one and subject to it driving as well as I think it does. Seems like a veritable bargain aswell as a quick hunt on the net throws up an ST-3 with all the toys for c.

they doo look good, think i might have to take a drive to my local ford dealer :D

Driven one and loved it.

want to see one in White though, but haven't driven a new Octy vRS yet.

They Are Very Nice

Not As Fast As The Astra Vxr, Or As Usable As The Vw Gold Gti

And They Have This Really Bad Blue Oval On The Front Grill

i like it on styling alone,

but i wouldn't own one over a Skoda :D

Hi

Check out the Evo review of the Focus ST. Basically they rate the Golf above the Focus as the heavy 5 cylinder Volvo lump at the front ruins the balance. For my money, if i wanted fastest, it would be the Astra, if I wanted best of the bunch, the Octavia II.

This is not Skoda brand evangelism though. You get the handling of the Golf, good reliability and a decent level of practicality for a very good price.

Plus of course the rarity value. You just jnow the Focus ST will be a mass seller.

Chris

Funnily enough that doesn't surprise me, if you squint it could be a Rapid  Not that far from the truth actually. Anyone else noticed it.

I'd have agreed with you last night - I drank so much I'd have said a hummer would look like a Focus ST. :o

visit puma speed, spend 1k and drive away with 275bhp :)

thats re-map, exhaust and panel filter

should be fun

Well Said -- Exactly why I've opted for the Octy vRS:thumbup:

thats cheap,:eek:15,748 for the st3:) . wonder what the price would be in 6 months time?

derek

Has to be said that the ST was No2 on my list - if Skoda manage to fubar the order for my vRS(a strong likelyhood) then I may well end up with an ST

We came very close to buying one, but SWMBO couldn't get a good driving position, only 5 ft tall. She quite likes the Astra, but as already said badge snobbery gets in the way, The Astra feels more planted on roundabouts and in standard form feels quicker on the road.

Been told there is a 3 month wait for factory builds at the moment, jhave specced one up at my local dealer already and am having a few days to think about it before i place my order.

am also waiting to see if a friend of the family can help me out with his Ford Privilage Card(20% Discount)

if i do i'll be getting it in WHITE.

If I had one, it would be white. I love white performance cars, and the Fords always look best in white.

Do you have any links of where the Octavia beat all the others?

 White does look good on the new ST, without the stripes.

crappy, stolen, phone picture:

I found that picture aswell, the only one i found online so far.

i'll post as/when/IF i order one.........................

WHITE RULES!!!!!!

do you think you could get a New Octy vRS in White as a special factory order????

White one reminds me of a Cossie

lol, just imagined it with a mini escos style whale tale spoiler on the back. don't think it would be an improvment tho...

If mine goes in the next couple of weeks I could be tempted by the new ST.

Only concern is the paint finish. Look at the colour mis-match on the white one posted above between the front bumper and wing - the other colours are the same if not worse in most cases. I'd be very loathe to order a new car without some assurances that it didn't turn up with a paintjob like a Polo Harlequin.

If you like white ones hows about this:
