abs pump replacement

Featured Replies

have just recieved a second hand pump and fitted it.will the normal bleeding procedure work or will i need vag com.?is it normal for the abs trac and steering light to come on when its connected up but not bled??

It will probably be on as its not been coded correctly. But I would check the fault code memory. If the unit was dry then yes you will need VCDS to bleed.

Why was the pump changed?

abs was kicking in at low speed ,abs sensors are new when a friend scanned it fault came back pump/module

Check you don't have different sized wheels and tyres front to back.

More than likely a wheel bearing issue but if it had a pump fault fair dos.

Will need to scan again if the lights are up to see what code is present. Post it up on here and we can offer some more advice.
