West Meon #40 - Tues 05/07/16

Featured Replies

Beat David too it ;)

This is mainly a formality these days for most, but posting for any new comers.

Tuesday 5th July, 19:00 onwards at the West Meon Pub, GU32 1JX.

People seem to arrive from 18:30 onwards.

Everyone welcome... even Skoda owners!

Probably be along as usual.

I gotta go, even if it is just to sell stuff to Jon :)

Got to make the most of these summer meets!

I'll be there with my new car.

sorry to miss new car as unable to attend this one

I'm sure you'll see it some other time. The ride height is nearly as high as your Yeti. I can get a full hand between the front wheel and wheelarch. I think I need to do something about that. I certainly won't have any trouble getting in the car park.

Did you buy Austen's Swift? ;) That's higher than the Yeti isn't it?!

Don't know if I will make it, working a late one that day.

Save while I can before mortgage payments kill me.

It's need to be lowered I know. I'm not paying coilover prices though! Will springs do the job? Problem is when the car is full it drops quite a lot.

My fabia is done on springs, less control than with adjustable coilovers but I still think it looks better than standard :)

Although if you go down the route of springs, upgrade the shocks too, I just did the springs and my rear shocks were buggered after a few thousand miles

If you get lowering springs/ shocks then they will probably be a bit stiffer so hopefully won't drop too much with weight in the back :) I've just bought a bilstein b12 kit to replace my coilovers. Will let you know how I get on with them
