Will get a photo when I remember, but I noticed a little black plastic cylinder about the size of 3 or 4 Parma Violets stacked together with a wire vanishing between the rear quarter light and the plastic trim there...

 

Any ideas what it is?

I assume Parma Violets is still an acceptable unit of measure for automotive engineering? I have been away from the UK for a while now...

Swizzles are more widely used now.....

just don't start measuring in sherbet fountains; always hated them things!!

 

And Fizzers where much nicer than parma violets!

It's a government device that tells the police if you burp (too many sweets....).  

If they catch you, you get three Kitkats on your (licence) plate

Maybe the radio aerial, think its in the quarterlights on the wagon/estate?

Inductor? Some kind of electronic filter?
