Service Interval

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anyone know the service interval for my April 2016 Superb SE-L Exec DSG 150?

Salesman told me it was 10k miles fixed, however documentation with the car suggest it is variable interval.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

It would have left factory on variable, but may have been changed to fixed during the PDI.

Look in the MIB2 menu, it will tell you.

MIB2??

MIB is the acronym for the modular infotainment system, the 2 being second generation.

Swing, Bolero, Amundsen and Columbus are all built using the same basic component modules.

In other words the stereo can tell you when the next service is due. If it says at 10k then you've been left on annual 10k servicing, anything else and it's on a variable regime.

You can ask the Dealer to put it back to variable (as it was when built) and to leave it alone in future!

I asked for fixed and believed it had to be fixed as I have a service plan however mine is saying the first service is due at 9000 miles or xxx days.  If I work the days out then it is 12 months from collection give or a take a couple of days.

The service interval is actually 15,000km which is about 9,400 miles, not 10k.

For those on fixed intervals, Skoda are now offering the first two services for £279:

That's much better value than the old service plan which wasn't really any cheaper than buying the services individually. I'll be taking the new plan but just need to find a "participating" dealer. Seems that some of the dealers aren't keen.

Does anyone have or has had one of the maintenance plans? Not the service, the maintenance ones. Just wondering what the cost is and if it's worth considering.
