Fuel filter lid?

Featured Replies

I have a 140 diesel PD engined Superb.  It was in to get a new alternator belt and tension-er fitted and some clutch pulley.  The garage noticed that at some point the fuel filter had been changed and rather than ease the lid off it had been pried off and bent.

Apparently VW sell the part for £170 for the full fuel filter assembly.  I have had a quick look on eBay but I am not sure what I am looking for or what it looks like.  Can anyone help please? (car is still in the garage or I would ask them to point to it.)

I had a new fuel filter housing on my Octavia a few years ago and it was the same price fitted. This was due to heavy corrosion on the lid.

I don't believe the lid is available on it's own, you only get the full housing and lid.

Stick 'Skoda fuel filter housing' into eBay, lot's of choice for less than £50, although it is one job I'd rather not do myself. Removing and refitting fuel lines is not for me.
