I've been reading plenty of threads on this forum. With a little bit more knowledge I recently put down a deposit of a 2013 Fabia vRS, with low miles and in great condition and very good price I think. All the usual stuff plus sat-nav which looks much smarter in the plain cabin.  I needed a small car for the city driving and something with a little power as well when driving on the A and B roads. My test drive impressions is that it is a good car to drive and compliant enough for the poor roads we have. Also enough performance (one of the slowest cars I will have) and stability for the motorway trips I do every week. Driven many manuals and automatics but not the DSG which hopefully won't be much different to other autos. I'm waiting for the front alloys and some minor paint chips to be refurbished by the Skoda dealership before I pick it up on the 19th.
