Amundsen+ Satnav update?

Featured Replies

i have read into the updates and understand that it cant be done without paying, which is really annoying, but can a new map be download (i.e. the maps for the non+ version of the system) and these be isntlaled to cd or SD card and used as a new map?

Im thinking that if i travelled abroad somewhere and needed some maps temporarily - is that possible? and then revert back to the UK system stored maps when return? and if that would work, could i not just isntall latest UK or europe maps instead of trying to update the data on the system itself?

The MY12-15 Rapid (and my SEAT) has the RNS315 Amundsen+ which can only be updated by very expensive one-shot SDcard from Skoda dealers

I don't think older or newer Amundsen versions have the same issues - they are much more readily updated (and customised - Camera POIs etc)

Maps aren't compatible between the Amundsen (RNS310), Amundsen+ (RNS315) and Columbus (RNS510). If you want to updated you'll need the correct maps for that unit...

Sorry for the bad news but it's an expensive SD or no update I'm afraid.
