photos of new octy vrs taken today

Thought you'd all like to see these. I took them at Pilling Skoda in MK-with salesman's permission of course. I have the options list too if anyone's interested.

Will post some more pics later.

Inside seems more spacious, seats firm, improved dashboard, no light grey carpet, suede type light bits on the two tone seats. But, for some reason, it doesn't look like a hot hatch to me. Not low enough. Wife and son love it though:eek:

Very nice - I know someone who knows someone who knows someone ;) that works for Pilling and he mentioned the car will be on the road for test drives next week.

Hmmm .... Nice. Wolf in sheeps clothing the new Octavia vRS. Exceptional value and bound to be a winner. :D

Look's great, waiting not so patiently for my dealer to get there demo so I can take a look and a drive -- be nice to see what I've ordered

just totted the options up to £3245 which makes the car 20k+. Seems a bit steep compared to the others out there (ford, golf etc)

IIRC Sat Nav isnt listed as an option as yet on the vRS (or wasnt on the list I saw).

And it looks a bit high was it still has the suspension chocks in it as ive not prepped it yet :)

That can't be a complete list as there is no Sat Nav

Not listed - nor is metallic paint.

More pics but not new. A friend owns it.

Skoda have done the same with the vRS as some other models -- model specific options in one area and general options on another.

Hopefully Skoda will build my car correctly  my spec is as follows

  • 18" Zenith Alloy Wheels
  • Xenon Headlights & Headlight Washers
  • Front & Rear Parking Sensors
  • Sat-Nav with 6.5" Screen
  • Heated Front Seats
  • Cruise Control
  • Multifunction Steering Wheel -- ** Not Sure Wether this is being done**
  • Maxi-Dot (Req for Sat-Nav)
  • Dual Zone Climate,Jumbo Box & Rear Electric Windows
  • Curtain Airbags
  • Electric Tilt & Slide Sunroof
  • Active Headrests
  • Light Assistant
  • Rain Sensor
  • Rear Blind
  • Metallic Paint

My dealer has ordered the car with Skoda - and they have given build week 3,so hopefully it will be built as per spec - we'll see.

Nice pics, looks well in black. Most of the options I wouldnt want anyway, apart from the alloy upgrade. I love the new logo, in fact, I love it sooooo much, my Furby is going to have it on it's bottom when I can get a badge.

Here is a pic of one with no suspension chocks in -

I'm baffled here. Do you mean that the vRS doesn't have headlight washers as standard even without xenons. You are joking , right!

This is madness especially when you consider you have to get a package costing

I do like the car and style but as said it is totally and absolutely nothing to look at.

To me that is a bonus although I could never justify buying a new one.I liked the idea of a black combi but the silver combi looks the spit and image of a fabia combi:(

When they are up for 10k second hand ,maybe.Otherwise a 2.0d elegance will probably offer more ,be cheaper and not much slower through the gears

Popped over to Pilling MK today.

Quite like the Vrs. But that is the first problem-"Quite" may be not good enough??

With extras would come out at about 19K-19.5K

Size is fine c/w my Superb. didn't seem a lot smaller except less rear seat legroom.

Color would have to be blue. 18" wheels, Box/rear e-w/Climate, rear sensors, cruise, maxidot. And possible privacy glass.( its in options-'all models section')

However, Octy L&K 140TDi DSG would not be significantly different cost and still fairly rapid. And look at the toys and trim!

Also shows what a bargain Superb still is. Elegance with the new EuroIV 2.0 TDI 140 with 6-Speed Box isn't considerably more either. just over 20K. :)

So still no nearer than six months ago, and running out of time.:(

BTW another look at Focus ST today at Northampton. Really like this -but just a bit tight on space - also complete T**t of a salesman, unlike the very helpful guys at Pilling

Do like the blue and would love to see a blue estate up close..........head on pic looks very Audi

I still can't get over the fact they are trying to charge you for electric rear windows... Can you imagine the slagging off you would get for buying a 17+k car without them!?

Mmmm that's a sexy looking car :))

I seem to recollect the Nissan Primera GT was around that price and also didn't come with rear electric windows, mine certainly didnt.

Edit, just done a Parkers price check for my old 1997 GT 4 dr Saloon

NEW PRICE in 1997 - £17530 !!!!

So who says the new Octy is overpriced now?

Not low enough. Wife and son love it though:eek:

With all the speed humps do you really want a lower car.

does it have rain sensors?
